Meet Kevin: Kevin Childs is a San Diego–based musician, songwriter, and producer with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. He began his career as guitarist for the emo/rock band Misdelphia, releasing four independent records and touring extensively in the Warped Tour scene. In the early 2010s, he became frontman of indie rock quartet Oliver Trolley, releasing three EPs and touring nationally, performing at venues including The Belly Up, The Novo, House of Blues, Gramercy Theatre, The Roxy, The Troubadour, Whisky a Go Go, and The Sinclair.
Kevin’s songwriting has been featured on shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real World, ESPN, and the FIFA World Cup, and in partnerships with brands including Toyota, Mastercraft Boats, and Sonos. He has shared stages with artists such as Tori Kelly, Pete Wentz, Hayley Williams, Cake, Paramore, Matt & Kim, Pierce the Veil,and Sleeping with Sirens.
In addition to performing, Kevin produces and writes for pop and country artists, creating character-driven, authentic music. In 2020, he helped lead the nonprofit Mobile Music Institute, developing curriculum, mentoring staff and volunteers, and building strategic partnerships with organizations like GoPro, Taylor Guitars, and artists including Tom DeLonge (Blink-182), Bonnie McIntosh (Post Malone, Selena Gomez), and Vic Fuentes (Pierce the Veil).
Today, Kevin leads IndieWall Artist Development Workshops, teaching the next generation of musicians how to write, produce, market, perform, and manage their own music careers. He brings the perspective of a professional artist to every student, combining real-world industry insight with guidance, mentorship, and creative skill-building.
